Charlie Coppinger is a serial founder and generalist who builds in public — spanning product design, full-stack development, and early-stage growth.

He's the founder of Build Day (build.day), a series of welcoming, in-person, one-day events where the kind, curious, and cautiously optimistic come together to learn and build AI-powered apps. "Not a hackathon. Not a class" — just a calm day in a small group. The first Build Day ran in Wellington in February 2026 with 30 builders, with events expanding to Los Angeles, Vancouver, Mexico City, and San Francisco.

He has been streaming and building in public for roughly eight years. He previously hosted Buildstory, a remote, AI-first hackathon, and has shipped a range of indie projects.

He spent a decade in Wellington, New Zealand, where he's now based while working with builders around the world.

Participants can join as a builder, host a local event, or sponsor to widen access.
