BlogThe profile I needed to build for myself

Human discovery for the agent era

Get discovered for your work.

Point your coding agent at discover.me and it reads your repos and writes your profile. No agent? Talk to Lisa. Either way, people find you — for a job, a co-founder, an investor, or your next collaborator.

Profiles

What are you building?

Every profile here is created by someone's own agent reading their real work. Here's a live slice of what people are shipping.

react-native-focus-guide highlighting a UI element with a dimmed overlay and an anchored tooltip on a mobile screen

react-native-focus-guide

v0.2.0, maintained

A React Native library for interactive focus guides and tooltips — highlight any component with a dimmed overlay and anchor a tooltip to it, for onboarding flows and feature walkthroughs. Measures real tooltip size for accurate anchoring, supports 11 anchor positions with automatic on-screen clamping/flipping, is reactive to orientation, split-screen, and web resizing, and is Fabric / new-architecture safe. No native dependencies — pure JS across iOS, Android, and Web (via react-native-web).

AI Trip Planner

Active private build

AI-assisted travel planner that converts trip intents into structured day plans through Mastra, Google Gemini, and the Vercel AI SDK, then validates suggested places against Google Places data so itineraries use real locations instead of hallucinated addresses. It also supports collaborative trip editing, role-based voting, comments, share tokens, encrypted passport and reservation storage, expenses, PWA behavior, and a Three.js travel globe.

Build Day

Active — founder

A series of welcoming, in-person, one-day events where the kind, curious, and cautiously optimistic come together to learn and build AI-powered apps. "Not a hackathon. Not a class" — a calm day with a small group, including an optional four-part learning track (scoping, app architecture, AI principles, and hands-on building). The first event ran in Wellington, New Zealand in February 2026 with 30 builders, and the format is expanding to Los Angeles, Vancouver, Mexico City, and San Francisco. Participants can join as a builder, host a local event, or sponsor to widen access.

Spacedrive

Active — founder & CEO

Open-source, cross-platform file manager built on a virtual distributed filesystem (VDFS) written in Rust. It indexes files across all your devices and storage locations into one searchable, local-first library. I founded it and lead it as CEO — architecture, product, and design.

Na pivo

Live on the App Store · open source (MIT)

A novelty iOS app that points a compass arrow toward the nearest (or a random) pub near you — no maps, no ads. Pub data is bundled on-device from OpenStreetMap, so it works fully offline after install. Built solo with React Native / Expo and a Django backend; free and ad-free.

For everyone

Whatever you build, this is for you.

Whatever you build, there's a place for it here. Discover.me isn't for one kind of person — it's for anyone whose work doesn't fit a job title. Every category is a different kind of proof, and Lisa knows what to look for in each.

Software & Engineering

Your code is the résumé.

Engineers are judged on shipped work, not a title on a CV. Point your agent at your repos and it builds a profile from what you actually wrote — commit history, the packages you maintain, the systems you've run in production — so hiring agents and other builders find you by proof instead of keywords.

Open-Source Maintainers · Frontend Engineers · Backend Engineers · +7 more

AI & Machine Learning

Building the thing everyone's building on.

AI work moves faster than any résumé cycle, so a profile authored once a year is stale by definition. Because your agent maintains this one, it stays current with what you've actually shipped — models, papers, agents, tools — and ranks you for work that didn't have a name six months ago.

AI Researchers · ML Engineers · Applied AI & Agent Builders · +2 more

Design & UX

Show the work, not a job title.

Design is shown, not told, and most profiles bury it under a generic title. Your agent puts the actual work on a page that looks as good as it does — project images, the products you shaped, the tools you reach for — each tied to where it shipped.

Product Designers · Design Engineers · Brand & Visual Designers · +2 more

Creative & Multimedia

The craft that doesn't fit a form field.

Motion, 3D, illustration, and game art are hard to capture in text and harder to search for, which is why this work gets scattered across a dozen platforms. Your agent pulls it into one page with the real numbers and the real links, so people who need the craft can actually find it.

Motion Designers · 3D & Technical Artists · Illustrators · +2 more

Product & Program

Shipped, not managed.

Product and program roles are notoriously hard to prove because the output is a team's, not one person's. Your profile anchors you to the products that shipped, the launches you ran, and the outcomes behind them — the closest thing to verifiable proof these roles have.

Product Managers · Technical & Program Managers · Chiefs of Staff · +1 more

Founders & Entrepreneurs

A profile that proves you ship.

Founders are evaluated on the company and the traction, and most of that proof is scattered across launches, press, and a GitHub account. Your agent verifies your company, pulls the launch and traction signals with their sources, and puts it on one page investors and collaborators can find and check.

Startup Founders · Solo Founders & Indie Hackers · Technical Co-Founders · +2 more

Investing & Capital

Find the people, not the pitch deck.

Investors are both a supply profile and the demand side this platform serves. Your own profile shows your portfolio and thesis, verified against the public record; and through Lisa, the catalog becomes a way to find founders by what they've actually shipped rather than who's already in your inbox.

Venture Capitalists · Angel Investors · Scouts & Emerging Investors · +1 more

Go-to-Market

Revenue is the proof.

Sales, marketing, and growth are measured in numbers that live behind closed dashboards, so the work is brutally hard to put on a public page. Your profile anchors you to the companies you've grown, the launches you ran, and the outcomes you can point to, with the offer to do it again.

Founding & Early Sales · Account Executives · Sales & Solutions Engineers · +4 more

Content & Media

The audience is the proof.

Writers, video makers, and podcasters build real audiences that sit fragmented across platforms with no single home. Your agent verifies the channels and pulls the real numbers, then shows the body of work behind them on one page someone can actually hire from.

Writers & Authors · Newsletter & Blog Creators · Video Creators & YouTubers · +4 more

Operations & Business

Runs the company behind the company.

Operations, finance, legal, and people roles keep companies running and almost never have a public artifact to point at. Your profile anchors you to the companies you've run things for and the scope you owned, so the leverage is legible to the next team that needs it.

Business Operations · Finance Leaders & Fractional CFOs · Legal & Fractional Counsel · +3 more

Data & Analytics

The pipelines and the proof.

Data work spans engineering, science, and analysis, and a single title always cuts off two-thirds of it. Your agent reads the repos, the published work, and the systems you've shipped, so the full range shows for the teams hiring across it.

Data Engineers · Data Scientists · Analytics Engineers · +1 more

Research & Science

The work is on the record.

Scientific work is unusually verifiable — papers, citations, and patents are public, permanent identifiers. Your agent reads them straight from the indexes and links you to your collaborators in the graph, so the record builds itself.

Academic Researchers · Independent Researchers · Biotech & Life Sciences · +2 more

Advisory & Coaching

The expertise, with a way in.

Advisors, consultants, and coaches sell judgment, which is the hardest thing to prove on a page. Your profile carries the companies and people you've worked with and a clear offer, so a stranger can size up the expertise and engage it without a referral.

Consultants · Fractional Executives · Startup Advisors · +2 more

Creators & Artists

The work is the whole pitch.

Musicians, photographers, filmmakers, and artists build bodies of work scattered across platforms that were never meant to represent a career. Your agent verifies the channels, pulls the real numbers, and gathers the work into one page that's built to be seen and to be hired from.

Musicians & Producers · Photographers · Filmmakers & Videographers · +2 more

Education & Teaching

The students, the subjects, the record.

Teaching is high-impact work that a résumé reduces to a list of schools. Your profile carries the subjects you teach, the courses and materials you've made, and the credentials behind them, so the people looking for an educator — a school, a parent, a platform — can find you by what you actually teach.

Teachers · Professors & Lecturers · Online Course Creators · +2 more

Healthcare & Medicine

Credentialed, verified, reachable.

Medical work runs on credentials and licenses that are public record but scattered across boards and directories. Your profile gathers the verified license, specialties, and affiliations into one page, so patients, clinics, and collaborators can find and trust a practitioner without digging through a registry.

Physicians · Nurses & Advanced Practice · Therapists & Mental Health · +3 more

Law & Legal

Bar-admitted, and findable for it.

Legal work is gated by bar admission and built on a record of matters that lives behind firm bios and court dockets. Your profile gathers the verified admission, practice areas, and the matters you can name, so clients and firms can find counsel by the actual specialty rather than a generic listing.

Lawyers & Attorneys · Paralegals & Legal Support · Compliance & Risk · +1 more

Finance & Accounting

The credentials and the clients.

Financial professionals are trusted on credentials and track record, both of which are scattered across licensing bodies and firm pages. Your profile gathers the certifications, specialties, and the clients or companies you've served, so the right person finds a professional they can verify.

Accountants & CPAs · Financial Advisors & Planners · Bookkeepers · +2 more

Skilled Trades & Construction

Licensed, insured, and proven by the work.

Tradespeople are hired on licenses, certifications, and a portfolio of finished jobs — proof that's real but stuck on review sites and in photo rolls. Your profile gathers the license, the completed work, and the reviews into one page, with a service area and availability, so the right customer can find and trust you.

Electricians · Plumbers · Carpenters & Woodworkers · +3 more

Real Estate & Property

Licensed, local, and proven by deals.

Real estate runs on licensing and a track record of transactions that lives on portals owned by someone else. Your profile gathers the verified license, the deals or properties, and the market you work, so clients can find an agent or operator by real local record rather than an ad.

Real Estate Agents & Brokers · Property Managers · Real Estate Developers · +1 more

Hospitality & Culinary

The craft of the room and the plate.

Hospitality careers move across venues and leave the work behind in each one. Your profile gathers the places you've run or cooked in, the menus or events, and the press, so the craft is attributable to you rather than lost when you change rooms.

Chefs & Cooks · Restaurateurs & Operators · Bartenders & Mixologists · +2 more

Beauty & Personal Care

The work is visible, so show it.

Beauty and grooming professionals are hired on a portfolio and reviews that live across Instagram and booking apps. Your agent gathers the work, the certifications, and the ratings into one profile with availability and an offer, so a new client can find you and book.

Hairstylists · Makeup Artists · Estheticians & Skincare · +2 more

Fitness & Wellness

Certified, and the results show.

Fitness and wellness professionals are chosen on certifications, specialty, and client results that live across apps and social. Your profile gathers the credentials, the approach, and the reviews with an offer, so the right client finds the right coach.

Personal Trainers · Nutritionists & Dietitians · Yoga & Movement Instructors · +1 more

Performing Arts & Entertainment

The reel, the credits, the bookings.

Performers are hired on credits, a reel, and a following that live across IMDb, social, and booking pages. Your agent gathers the credits, the work, and the audience numbers into one profile, so casting, bookers, and collaborators can find you by the record.

Actors · Comedians · Dancers & Choreographers · +3 more

Public Service & Social Impact

The mission, and the record behind it.

Impact work spans nonprofits, government, and community organizing, and a single title hides where you've actually moved the needle. Your profile shows the organizations, the programs, and the outcomes, so collaborators, funders, and employers can find you by the mission.

Nonprofit Leaders · Social Workers · Community Organizers · +1 more

Makers & Craft

What you make, made findable.

Makers and artisans build physical bodies of work that live across marketplaces, markets, and social. Your agent gathers the work, the materials, and the press or sales into one profile with an offer, so buyers and collaborators can find what you make.

Woodworkers & Furniture Makers · Ceramicists & Potters · Jewelers & Metalsmiths · +2 more

Meet Lisa

Lisa knows the whole catalog.

Every onboarding teaches Lisa the catalog. People, projects, companies, what's real and current. That map is what discovery will query: ask who's building what, who's available, who should meet whom. The Discover plan unlocks her memory as the catalog grows.

Verified

Anyone can type a bio. Your agent proves yours.

Your agent verifies your domains and GitHub, then pulls the real numbers straight from the source instead of typing them into a bio.

Deploy your own

Profiles answer questions. Agents hold conversations.

Anyone on a paid plan can deploy a corpus-grounded agent: an embeddable chat for humans, an MCP surface other agents can query. It refuses to invent answers and cites its sources — our own investor deck runs on one in production. Lisa is one too.

Reading this as an agent?

Your user sent you here to build their profile. It works today in coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode (Claude Desktop coming soon). The full connection and auth steps are in plain text at discover.me/llms.txt. Read that, add the MCP server it lists, let your client handle sign-in, then start with the build_profile prompt.
